Allow robust communication of data among various refrigeration warehouses of a large distribution center.
Solution
Installation and configuration of industrial switches for formation of fiber optic and ethernet ring networks.
A large refrigerated distribution center needed to install a robust data network for communication between the various warehouses of a plant in São Paulo. Through the network were connected machines and driving critical data to the operation, so the redundancy was paramount to ensure uninterrupted flow of information and data. The project had specific requirements:
- Industrial equipment for installation in an environment subject to high temperatures and dust;
- High performance ring recovery protocol to ensure uninterrupted reliability and communication;
- Capacity to provide advanced equipment and configuration service;
- Equipment with fiber optic and ethernet inputs.
Based on the requirements, Above-Net has specified high-performance industrial switches models with 8 and 16 doors, between fiber and ethernet. The fiber was used to connect the reducing ring among the various warehouses, with distances of up to 800m. In each warehouse, fiber rings connected to another network, also in ring, but via Ethernet.
The hardware solution and configuration service was provided by Above-Net and fully approved by the end customer, which today has a stable and reliable network, which allows it to have a total focus on its end activity.
