Intelligent Management and Monitoring of Hospital Infrastructure

Above-Net Bridgemeter

Challenges

The hospital environment faces significant challenges in managing its infrastructure and equipment, particularly with the medical gas network, which consists of several subsystems prone to failures that could compromise patient safety.

Manually monitoring such a critical operation is impossible. Situations such as the sudden increase in the consumption of medicinal gases, equipment breakdowns due to operations outside those recommended by the factory, dynamic resizing of supply systems, and unnecessary or emergency maintenance are just a few examples of scenarios that can pose risks, including:

  • Risk to patients’ lives;
  • Inefficiency and unnecessary expenses;
  • Legal proceedings due to lack of inputs or interrupted medical procedures;
  • Lack of operation documentation for inspections, audits and legal defenses;
  • Difficulty in decision making due to lack of historical data.

To solve the problem, Above-Net entered into an exclusive partnership with White Martins, and launched QI Control , an intelligent IoT monitoring solution for hospital infrastructure.

QI Control

QI Control - Above-Net - White Martins

QI Control enables the intelligent management of a hospital infrastructure, providing information on the operational conditions of centers and networks, correlating measurements and generating real-time alarms of adverse situations, such as failures or possible wear and tear in a hospital operation.

Main Features

From the intuitive interface to the ability to integrate with any existing equipment or system, QI Control is designed to solve all problems for hospital operational and maintenance staff

Smart Rules and Failure Prediction

QI Control 's intelligence allows you to create rules, alarms for maximums, minimums, increases and reductions in consumption, increases or reductions in the rate of variation and even calculated functions based on information collected in real time.

The combination and crossing of this information makes QI Control unique, allowing intelligent monitoring and control of the operation.

Supervision Diagrams

QI Control has an online supervisory diagram configurator that allows the configuration of monitoring elements superimposed on illustrations, isometric diagrams and even images of the location indicating the origin and immediate visualization of the measurement or attention to the problem detected by the system.

Trends and Maintenance under Condition

QI Control analyzes and compares operating trends with normal standards and autonomously notifies those responsible, indicating critical actions to reestablish normal usage conditions.

Smart Document Repository

QI Control stores and controls the expiration date of all documentation for each monitored system or equipment in different formats. In addition to indexing and intelligent search of information, the platform allows viewing by location, timeline or tables to increase efficiency in accessing information.

Alarms

Smart alarms send notifications via APP to maintenance teams informing them of a trend or pre-calculated condition, eventually anticipating a failure for appropriate intervention on the equipment.

This function aims to optimize maintenance activities, allowing greater infrastructure availability, reducing costs, and increasing the safety of patients and professionals.

Disconnect Monitoring

The platform monitors the connection status with all remote systems and equipment, ensuring accurate information to the maintenance team. In case of loss of connection, the responsible team receives a notification so that they can take the necessary measures.

Integration with Other Systems

QI Control allows integration with existing ERPs for advanced calculations such as average consumption per patient or with Command Center to share information on the hospital's equipment infrastructure and medical gas network.

Standalone Notifications

Unlike other systems, QI Control does not depend on human monitoring to check alarms and adverse conditions. The authorized clinical engineering team receives real-time notifications on their cell phone or tablet through the APP. If necessary, the system has WEB access to check the situation in detail.

Control and Notifications via APP

QI Control APP is practical and easy to use. On the main screen, there are active or recent alarms from all monitored locations in the hospital network.

When clicking on the alarm or equipment, all alarms and parameters listed in order of limit criticality are displayed.

This way, the technician has immediate access to information that could impact the operation in the short term. In addition to quantitative parameter information, the application has a real-time view of supervision diagrams, trend graphs and a documentation repository for maintenance monitoring.

Control via WEB

QI QI Control offers dashboards for controlling and monitoring the entire hospital infrastructure.

Through an intuitive and simple to use interface, the system offers real-time intelligent alarm panels listed by priority on a main page.

In another option, you can search for the network hospital or monitored equipment through a Google-style search or by location on the map. When detailing any equipment, the system is capable of monitoring simple, accumulated parameters and also providing customized function calculations with their respective alarms and notifications.

In the graphics section, you can cross-reference historical information on any system parameter, export it to different formats and even generate instant reports.
