The Robustel EG5100 edge computing gateway designed for critical applications in industrial IoT , automation , energy , logistics , and smart cities 4G/3G/2G cellular connectivity via dual-SIM , versatile industrial interfaces, and onboard local processing, the EG5100 delivers high performance and reliability in the field.
Equipped with a 792 MHz ARM Cortex-A7 processor , 512 MB of DDR3 RAM , 8 GB of eMMC , and Debian 11 (Bullseye) with RobustOS Pro , the EG5100 runs Docker with support for languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, and Node.js. This enables rapid deployment of custom services at the network edge with high flexibility and cloud independence.
Main features:
The equipment has 2 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports with magnetic isolation , 2 configurable serial ports (RS‑232/RS‑485 or CAN) , 2 digital inputs (DI) , 2 digital outputs (DO) , 1 USB 2.0 host port , and optional support for dual-band Wi‑Fi (802.11ac) , Bluetooth 5.2/5.3 and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo) .
Its robust communication capabilities, with two SMA-K antennas and a dual SIM slot , offer automatic redundancy and connection stability for remote or mobile scenarios. The gateway also supports secure VPNs (IPsec, OpenVPN, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, DMVPN) , an advanced firewall with DMZ , IP/MAC/domain filtering , access control, and DoS attack prevention.
For industrial integration, the EG5100 offers a Modbus RTU/TCP gateway with MQTT bridge , allowing you to connect sensors, PLCs and SCADA systems directly and securely.
Remote management and monitoring is performed by the Bridgemanager , developed by Above-Net , which allows full control of devices in the field, with customizable dashboards, connectivity diagnostics, intelligent alerts and centralized management of operators and SIM cards.
In addition, the EG5100 is compatible with Bridgemeter , Above-Net focused on the normalization of operational data , continuous efficiency monitoring , automatic calculation of rejection, losses and process deviations , especially in sanitation, energy, OEE and industrial IoT applications.
The device is designed for harsh environments, with an IP30 metal housing , a thermal range of –40°C to +70°C , a 9 to 60 V DC power supply with reverse polarity protection , a typical idle consumption of 3 W , and installation on a DIN rail, wall, or bench .
The EG5100 delivers secure edge processing, resilient connectivity, and integration with intelligent platforms to transform raw data into agile, confident operational decisions.
