The Robustel R5020 is the first industrial router with global 5G connectivity , also supporting 4G and 3G , based on a dual-core 880 MHz MIPS CPU platform with RobustOS (Linux) operating system, fully compatible with the documented SDK efficient and secure edge computing applications.
Designed for industrial environments and embedded applications, the R5020 offers 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports (configurable as 1 WAN + 3 LAN or 4 LAN), with optional PoE‑PD support on ETH0 and 1 kV magnetic isolation

Supports automatic failover between Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and cellular connections with dual-SIM and four SMA-K cellular antennas , ensuring continuous availability in critical applications. For industrial protocols, it features one configurable RS-232 and one RS-485 port , plus one optically isolated DI and one DO , with Modbus RTU/TCP support via MQTT bridge and TCP/UDP serial control.
In security and connectivity, the R5020 offers IPsec VPNs, OpenVPN, DMVPN, GRE, L2TP, PPTP , firewall with DMZ, IP/MAC/domain filtering, anti-DoS, port mapping and AES/TKIP/WEP64 encryption
Remote management is provided by Bridgemanager , which features customizable dashboards, intelligent alerts, connectivity monitoring, and centralized device control. The R5020 is also compatible with Bridgemeter , Above-Net's solution for real-time operational data analysis and standardization , ideal for applications in smart transportation, digital retail, building automation, connected cities, and operational efficiency.
Built for harsh environments, it features an IP30 metal housing, a thermal range of –25°C to +70°C , a 12 to 36 V DC with reverse polarity and surge protection, a typical idle consumption of ~3 W (12 V) and a maximum of ~11 W , a weight of ≈ 475 g and compact dimensions for wall, table or DIN rail installation.
