SW485C

The SW485C is a bidirectional converter RS-232 for RS-485 or RS-422 of 9-pin industrial level. It can convert any standard Full Duplex RS-232 port to any RS-485 semi-duplex two-wire or RS-485 or RS-422 Full Duplex four-wire port. In simple terms, it will convert any RS-232 signal to an RS-485 or RS-422 signal and vice versa. The unit is fed from the RS-232 data lines. It also supports the automatic direction of data direction. Therefore, external energy or flow control is not required. Automatically enables the RS-485/422 driver automatically enables the data on the RS-232 side, making the plug-and-play device, not requiring software drivers. The SW485C has a DB9 female connector on the RS-232 side and a DB9 men's connector or a 5-bit terminal block on the RS-485/422 side.
