Our Story
In July 2001, Above-Net Soluções em Convergência was founded, a company with a team of engineers with the pioneering vision of providing data, voice, and video solutions for corporate networks.
In that same year, Above-Net became the first distributor of Moxa Technologies in Latin America, launching at the time a line of multi-serial boards and converters aimed at industrial applications in Brazil.
Back in 2002, when it began distributing voice gateways in Brazil, Above-Net pioneered the implementation of private Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, installing over 600 points across Brazil by the end of that same year.
Always focused on customer service, Above-Net earned its first MTSC (Moxa Technical Support Center) certification in 2003 and was the first distributor in Latin America to receive this rigorous seal of technical quality from the manufacturer. This certification was created to ensure that all customers worldwide have up-to-date technical support and prompt assistance, minimizing dependence on factory solutions across the entire product line. To obtain this certificate, it is necessary to attend an annual course taught by specialized engineers from the factory and also pass a series of rigorous practical and theoretical exams.
In the following years, with the growth and development of the industrial and infrastructure sector, Above-Net Soluções Industriais emerged. Other major global manufacturers, such as Oring, Kyland, 3onedata, and Winmate, were added to its solutions portfolio.
Quality solutions require quality support. For this reason, Above-Net has always invested in training and certifications for its team. The company has won several awards, most notably Above-Net 's technical managers achieved first place in 2010 and 2012, in addition to seventh place overall in 2011.
These awards demonstrate the high technical level of the Engineering and Support team, which possesses extensive expertise in networks and data communication. This is the company's differentiating factor compared to its competitors, with direct and active participation from specification (engineering level) to advanced technical support for its clients . The team is composed of up-to-date and highly qualified professionals, capable of offering technical consulting services, installation, configuration, maintenance, network auditing, industrial connectivity, IoT monitoring and telemetry, systems integration, serial and Modbus networks, as well as robust mobility.
Among our mobility solutions, we offer a complete line of rugged, industrial-grade smartphones, tablets, and data collectors, ready for diverse applications ranging from sales force and logistics to factory floors, as well as military and agricultural applications. All equipment is durable, with flexible operating systems (Android and Windows) and data capture interfaces (RFID and 1D/2D reader). Integrated systems such as Mobile Manager and PTT/IP complete the solution range.
In 2009, Above-Net reached the milestone of 1,000 self-manufactured tablets sold in the US for executive aviation applications.
In 2011, Above-Net launched its Bridgemanager M2M remote monitoring communication management system, compatible with the equipment it represented in Brazil. Bridgemanager enabled the management of remote communication equipment for supervisory systems through cellular data communication, ensuring stability and transparent access to all of the client's remote equipment.
In 2012, analyzing the market demand for integrated remote monitoring of systems and equipment in applications requiring 24/7 monitoring in locations lacking internet communication through operational control centers (OCCs), Above-Net pioneered the development of its Industrial IoT monitoring platform.
In 2014, Above-Net launched Bridgemeter, an Industrial IoT (Internet of Things) platform capable of collecting information from various equipment, sensors, PLCs, and motors, managing alarms and intelligent rules, performing predictive analysis, and sending information to other systems. The Bridgemeter concept is unique because it allows for integrated layered operation, offering a collaborative infrastructure in a turnkey model to clients.
The Bridgemeter has gained market share and scale and is used in applications in sanitation, transportation, energy, agribusiness, healthcare, clinical engineering, and even by multinational machine manufacturers in OEM models.
In 2019, leveraging its expertise in systems integration, Above Above-Net launched Bridgecare, an integration platform for legacy healthcare data and systems with specialized services for implementing EMPI (Enterprise Master Patient Index), featuring a database capable of maintaining consistent and unique information for any patient within a healthcare organization.
In 2021, Bridgecare surpassed the milestone of over 25 million patients in its database, registering more than 190 million patient visits, the largest database in Latin America .
