Privacy Policy – BridgePTT

BridgePTT BridgePTT is developed and made available by ABOVE-NET COMERCIO DE INFORMATICA, TELECOMUNICACAO E SERVICOS LTDA (Above-Net), located at Rua Dalcidio Jurandir, 255, Loj 123, Barra Da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro – RJ, CEP 22631-250, and registered with the CNPJ/MF under number 05.920.155/0001-60, as a Push-to-Talk communication application integrated with the Zello Work communication platform.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using BridgePTT.

1. BridgePTT and Zello

BridgePTT works in conjunction with Zello Work. Zello provides the communication servers, network infrastructure, authentication services, and other technical resources necessary for Push-to-Talk communications.

BridgePTT acts as an interface for these services and does not operate an independent communication server or its own user database for communications conducted through Zello.

2. Information handled by BridgePTT

Above-Net does not independently collect, store, sell, rent, or use BridgePTT users' personal information for advertising, marketing, behavioral profiling, or data monetization purposes. When a user accesses BridgePTT, the information necessary for their authentication, such as Zello Work network data, username, password, or other authentication credentials, is transmitted to Zello exclusively for authentication and access to the communication service.

Above-Net does not receive or store Zello user passwords on servers operated by Above-Net.

3. Data Processed by Zello

Since BridgePTT uses Zello Work to provide its communication functionalities, certain information necessary for the provision of the service may be transmitted to and processed by Zello. Depending on the Zello Work configuration and the functionalities used, this information may include:

  • Authentication and account information;
  • User or account identifiers;
  • Device and network information;
  • IP address and technical connection information;
  • Operational and service logs;
  • Voice communications when the user utilizes the Push-to-Talk function; and
  • Location information is available when location-based features are enabled and the necessary permission has been granted on the device.

This information is processed through Zello's infrastructure for the provision of communication services. Above-Net does not sell this information and does not use the data transmitted to Zello for advertising purposes or the creation of behavioral profiles.

The processing of information carried out by Zello is subject to Zello's own applicable contracts, data protection terms, and privacy practices.

4. Microphone Access

BridgePTT requires access to the device's microphone to provide its core Push-to-Talk communication functionality. Microphone access is used to capture audio when the user initiates a communication, allowing that audio to be transmitted through the Zello infrastructure to the user or destination channel.

Above-Net does not independently record or store these voice communications on servers operated by Above-Net.

5. Device Location and Other Permissions

Certain BridgePTT or Zello Work features may require additional permissions from the Android system. When a feature requires access to information such as the device's location, BridgePTT will use the permission mechanisms provided by Android.

This information will only be accessed when necessary for an enabled feature and in accordance with the permissions granted by the user or configured by the organization responsible for the account. The user can manage the applicable permissions directly in the Android device settings.

6. Information Sharing

Above-Net does not sell or rent BridgePTTuser information. Information is transmitted to Zello only when necessary to authenticate users, establish communication sessions, and provide the functionalities requested through BridgePTT and Zello Work.

Zello acts as the provider of the communication platform and infrastructure used by BridgePTT. Information may also be made available when required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or legitimate request from a competent authority.

7. Security

BridgePTT was developed to transmit authentication and service information using secure communication mechanisms compatible with the Zello platform. Above-Net does not maintain independent copies of the Zello authentication credentials used by users on its servers.

Since the communication infrastructure is provided by Zello, the information processed on that infrastructure is also subject to the technical, organizational, and security measures adopted by Zello.

8. Data Retention

Above-Net does not maintain an independent database containing Zello communications or authentication passwords for BridgePTTusers.

The information processed within the Zello Work infrastructure is maintained in accordance with the applicable configuration of the Zello Work platform, the contracts signed by the client, and Zello's data retention policies. Above-Net does not operate Zello's servers and therefore does not independently control the data stored within Zello's infrastructure.

9. Account and Data Deletion

BridgePTT uses accounts associated with the user's organization's Zello Work environment. Requests related to deleting or modifying a Zello Work account, or information maintained in the Zello infrastructure, should normally be directed to the organization administrator responsible for the Zello Work account or handled according to the account and data management procedures provided by Zello.

10. Third-Party Services

Zello is an independent technology and infrastructure provider. Above-Net is responsible for the BridgePTTapplication, but does not independently operate or control Zello's communication servers, infrastructure, or data processing systems.

We recommend that users also consult Zello's Privacy Policy and the privacy and data protection terms applicable to the Zello Work service used by their organization.

11. Privacy of Children and Adolescents

BridgePTT was developed for professional and business communication and is not intended for general use by children.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Above-Net may update this Privacy Policy whenever necessary to reflect changes to BridgePTT, its integrations, applicable law, or privacy requirements.

The effective date indicated at the beginning of this Privacy Policy will identify the most recent version of the document.
