Agribusiness Monitoring

Above-Net Bridgemeter

Challenge

Override the constant power failure and monitor various operations such as silos, bin openings, truck entry and exit sensors and grain elevator drives.

Solution

It has its own batteries, being immune to precarious power supply situations and being able to operate with autonomy of up to 72 hours, even using 3G/4G cellular communication.

With the demand for monitoring multiple digital signals in remote locations, our client was looking for a solution that could unify data, meeting the different network topologies of its operation. Above Above-Net solved the problem using the AND-AM142 , a Modbus RTU connected to a specific gateway for each customer's network scenario.

With this, the data is sent to Bridgemeter , our industrial IoT solution, where the user can access their personalized monitoring dashboard, with analog and digital information displays, as well as history, graphs and predictive analysis.

Monitoring is done through the cloud platform, generating real-time alerts about changes in the operating conditions of machines or equipment.

Some prerequisites were fundamental for the solution to work, including:

  • Silo Monitoring
  • Opening of Bins
  • Truck entry and exit sensors
  • Grain elevator drives.
  • Independent battery

The products and systems involved in the solution are industrial and prepared for critical operations and large volumes of connections:

  • Robustel R3000-L3P Dual-SIM cellular router with 1 Serial port and 1 Ethernet port
  • AND-142M – converter module that has 24 digital inputs and Modbus RTU communication
  • ANH-I140 – analog/digital module with 4 analog current inputs (0/4 to 20mA)

With in-depth experience in developing mobility solutions and integrating complex systems, Above-Net can overcome project integration and implementation challenges.
