Solution
An equipment manufacturer has acquired the Bridgemeter remote monitoring solution in a White Label model and offers the service to its customers out of the box to anticipate problems and reduce travel costs in current maintenance contracts.
The client is a multinational manufacturer of industrial equipment that provides technical assistance and maintenance services for its machines. Their biggest challenge was remotely identifying a machine problem and identifying faults and appropriate maintenance procedures. Furthermore, all predictive maintenance processes were performed on-site, connected to the machine via a computer used by the maintenance team.
This model, in addition to being inefficient, generated a very high cost of deployment and staff to the manufacturer, who depended on physical visits for a simple inspection of the machine's operation.
The project was developed based on Above-Net Bridgemeter Industrial IoT monitoring . Through the platform, the customer can monitor in real time the operation of all equipment under maintenance contracts around the world.
Within various scalability and security requirements, communication with the equipment controllers (PLCs – Siemens with S7Comm communication) was necessary, for which Bridgemeter is compatible and approved for communication.


Another important requirement was communication flexibility across multiple countries, regardless of the manufacturer's customers' local network, avoiding communication limitations and IT team resistance during installation. The chosen communication technology was cellular data using Above-Net .
All equipment parameters are transmitted through a cellular gateway offered in the solution, processed, and stored in real time. Bridgemeter's functional layer acts instantly, triggering alarms and notifications automatically based on intelligent rules defined by the platform user.
Furthermore, the Bridgemeter APP alerts the local maintenance team to any trends or issues, as well as a checklist of tasks to be performed to resolve them.
